Bonus AC Rewards;

AC REWARDS
It's present time!!

This page lists the reward items players are able to purchase through Bonus AC points. Bonus AC will be calculated on your Activity Check threads, based on the rules written up on that page for which type of activity gets whatever many points. There's a couple rules here for spending those AC points, here's some hexagons:
⬡ You may use AC points from multiple characters' banks on a single item. It's all your work, so as far as the points go, we aren't worried which bank they came from, as long as it's your characters. However, some items do come with an IC component, and that must be performed by the character receiving the item.

⬡ To purchase an AC Reward item, you'll want to submit the form below as a comment to this page to request your character be given one of these items/perks. Please do not act on the item request/RP anything involving the item until you've received an approval comment from the mods giving you the go-ahead. We will get to these as quickly as we can, but some of them do require some negotiating, especially the powers and the canon items.

⬡ Physiological HOST powers are limited to 2 per character. For example, you can choose to buy + upgrade into the Strength and Durability trees, but after that you will not be able to choose to ALSO buy the Agility tree.

⬡ Non-physiological HOST powers currently have a limit of 1. For example, you can choose to buy and upgrade telekinesis, but you cannot also buy firebreath.

⬡ I thought there was another rule but I forgot it because I'm a goldfish. Anyway, there's a suggestions thread below were you can offer up ideas for one-time use items that can be anything from nonsensical crap to cool, rare items that can be used in events when you need extra firepower or something, idk, we're still braining on it.

FORMS;

To use this post, you will want to make a thread header for each, individual character that you play, using this form:

When purchasing an AC Reward item, reply to that thread header with the following form. In the subject header, list the item you're purchasing. Each individual item should have its own comment under your character's thread header. Mods will reply to these comments to approve the item. Again, please do not assume the item can be put into threads until mods have given their approval.

CANON POWERS;

For characters that came into the game with powers from canon or CRAUs.

⬡ Canon Powers Buy-Back [ 20 Points ]
This option is for characters looking to purchase their canon powers back. It's a less expensive option ICly, because a character's mind comes with a sort of blueprint that makes it easier for Ripley to recreate the traits of their original body. OOCly, it's because we don't want you guys to have to wait too long before you can play your character at their normal capacity. Ish. Please keep the power limitations listed on the FAQ page in mind. If your character had their canon powers purchased, went on a canon update, and had an upgrade to their powers during that time, you will need to purchase this option again to upgrade their powers with the canon update. You can also do the informational canon update alone and leave the character without their powers upgraded. It's up to you!

TIERED, NON-CANON ENHANCEMENTS AND POWERS;

For baseline humans. As these aren't abilities characters were born with/transferred into Ripley's databanks with, they will take some extra adjustment on the part of the character's mind/body and OOCly will include future tiers (we will probably give it at least a few months to see how the first tier works out before making more available). Because we try to have our characters able to get cool things for cool IC abilities/work, there is a way to get a discount on some of these enhancements for medical abilities, meaning the characters could contribute their own work towards the creation/acquisition of these items, making less work for Ripley.

For those that are looking for multiple physiological enhancements, a new tier I ability may only be bought every other month per character. For example: if you buy Strength I in April, you will have to wait until June to buy Agility I.

NOTE: At present, these power slots are only for characters without canon powers, or characters that choose not to buy back their canon powers. We will likely be opening it up to all characters later, but we're trying to go slow with how badass a single person can get yet.

⬡ Physiological HOST Power: [ 25 Points for Tier I / Medical Discount: 15 Points ] MAX: 2 per character
For characters that had no canon powers (or their canon powers were physiological), it can be requested that Ripley upgrade their HOST bodies with original powers. There are three categories for this, and a single character can purchase upgrades in 2 of those 3 areas (example: Kenzi purchases Strength, Tiers 1 - 3 and Agility, Tiers 1 - 3, but she cannot buy Durability on top of that). Physiological powers have preset tiers established, and they start as follows:
Strength I: Automatically increased by 25% of your current ability, maxed at a deadlift of 1,100~ pounds in times of emergency (which will cause you a major sweat and some back pain, please do not get a hernia).

Agility I: You will find your reflexes more responsive and nimble to a noticeable degree. Lung capacity and stamina is also automatically increased to 25% of your current ability.

Durability I: Tissue density is increased. You can now take 25% harder hits and your squishy organs will be better protected by the surrounding tissue. If combined with Strength I, lessens your chance of a hernia. Yay!
⬡ Body Horror Opt-In: [ FREE ]
Because we're gross and we love body horror, you have the option to have these powers some along with some body horror options, like an exposed metal spine that houses the technology used to augment nervous system input, metal eyes a la Dune Gholas, or vascular system/veins that glow through the skin when a power is activated. As we've said, the HOST bodies and everything Ripley is doing with them is extremely experimental tech, and the mind saves vary in how well they integrate with them. Some bodies may take more work than others, so as long as you can make a logical connection between your body horror element and the power you're requesting, we'll likely be alright with it. Include your proposed body horror element in the write up for your reward item in the form below for approval.

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] ⬡ Non-Physiological Power: [ 40 Points + IC Component ] MAX: 1 per character
This is a new power that's less generically physical, more abstract, like telepathy or pyromancy. Because this is more taxing on Ripley, it will require not only AC points spent, but characters will ICly go through a plotted event discussed with the mods on the proposal for purchasing this item. It may be your character consenting to undergo experiments, or something accidental, like being caught outside in a space storm. We have a lot of options for it, and if you have an idea for how you'd like the IC component to go, feel free to include your suggestions in the purchase proposal. Additionally, players will need to propose their own tier breakdowns for advancement. For the time being, characters are only allowed to purchase one (1) of these power slots. This may be increased in the future.

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] ⬡ Tiered Power Upgrade: [ 20 Points + IC Component ]
To move from one tier in your character's power to the next, we ask for proofs/mentions of your character training or mentioning training their powers - working towards bettering their ability. To go from Tier I to Tier II, we ask for 2 threads or IC mentions of training and a wait time of 2 months for the purchase of Tier I. For II to III, we ask for 3 threads or IC mentions of training with a wait time of 3 months from the last upgrade.

GENERIC ITEMS;

These are generic, non-weapons, non-armor personal items made on Kostka IV by the droids. None of these things will have any special powers or magical endowments.

⬡ Small Item: [ 10 Points ]
This means something handheld and simple: playing cards, a hair brush, a fun coffee mug, a shaving razor, sunglasses, a cyro-soup sippycup, colored dye for changing the color of your uniform. These items will be generic, either made in plastic from the droids' 3D printers, or constructed from salvage lying around the ship. NOTE: Droids with automatically print a few basic hygiene items without needing to spend AC points, like a toothbrush, but a hairbrush is asking too much, they don't care if you got tangles, son, sorry.

⬡ Medium: [ 20 Points + IC Component ]
Stuff that is bread box-ish size: a doll house, plushies, a bread box, a cat carrier. These items will be too large for the droids' 3D printers to handle, so they will either be constructed on the ship from salvage (less likely, as Ripley doesn't want to spare too much of her stock for personal items). Characters will be sent out during planetside missions to retrieve materials needed for these items.

⬡ Large: [ 30 Points + IC Component ]
Stuff that is definitely larger than a breadbox: a donkey statue, a life-sized cardboard cut out of Steve Rogers but as a cockroach, a new chair. These items will be too large for the droids' 3D printers to handle, so they will either be constructed on the ship from salvage (less likely, as Ripley doesn't want to spare too much of her stock for personal items). Characters will be sent out during planetside missions to retrieve materials needed for these items.

CANON ITEMS;

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] The opportunity for these items will be incredibly rare (like once every 9ish months, we're thinking), and there will be an announcement 2 - 3 months in advance to warn when we plan to have one of these coming up, so that players may save up and stockpile their points. The opportunity to get this items will be paired with an IC event.

⬡ Non-Powered Canon Items; [ 30 Points + IC Component ]
Non-powered items can be replicated through the Items options above, but should you want the original item brought into the game via whatever kind of temporal rifting or traveling or yoinking happens in the event, there is this option.

⬡ Powered Canon Items; [ 40 Points + IC Component ]
As the items brought through by this manner are the original items from the canon world, they will arrive with their power/magic traits intact, however, we will want them to adhere to the game's power limitations, just as all characters must.

⬡ Canon Pets; [ 60 Points + IC Component ]
For pets from canon/crau. Unlike the PC, these pets will come in with their original bodies, rather than HOST bodies, so their powers will be retained, however, we will want them to adhere to the game's power limitations, just as all characters must. Pets must be non-appable, with minimal personality traits, and cannot be larger than a small horse (think American Quarter Horse rather than Clydesdale).

NOTE: When choosing this option, please keep in mind that food is sometimes scarce on the ship, and the potential IC consequences of that. Another thing to consider for scent-based creatures is that the HOST body will smell slightly different than your character's original body. Mind-linked creatures would also have to reform their bond, but as far as how long or short that process is, we'll leave that up to the player's discretion.

SPACE GEAR;

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] Scifi things! These will likely be picked up on planets that Kostka visits, or pulled out of deep storage by Ripley's droids. Because we try to have our characters able to get cool things for cool IC abilities/work, there is a way to get a discount on these items for tech skills, meaning the characters could contribute their own work towards the creation/acquisition and maintenance of these items, making less work for Ripley.

Keep in mind that anything with ammo or charges will require ongoing access to those materials. While we definitely don't want to ask that you turn in points every time your weapon needs to be reloaded, maintenance and resource access might be something for your character will ICly consider (and handwave) over time.

Please note that these are extra bonuses to fast track acquisition and will not be the only chance to acquire gear. There will be chances for characters to scavenge more basic weapons during planet events or ICly find broken versions of more advanced tech that can be repaired. Point cost TBA once these become available / decide how to tier them / if we want to tier them at all, idk guys.

⬡ Weapons: [ # Points / Tech Discount: # Points ]
Guns, (plasma)sword, other melee shit, things like those super extra Chitauri weapons from Spider-man: Homecoming, etc. We'll be filling in several different tiers of quality, type and traits, once this section comes unlocked.

⬡ Armor Suits: [ # Points / Tech Discount: # Points ]
Think Mass Effect custom gear, and if you really want to go hardcore on it, Warhammer 40k (pffff). We'll be filling in several different tiers of quality, type and traits, once this section comes unlocked.

VEHICLES;

For going zoom. Because we try to have our characters able to get cool things for cool IC abilities/work, there is a way to get a discount on these items for engineering abilities, meaning the characters could contribute their own work towards the creation/acquisition of these items, making less work for Ripley.

⬡ Segway: [ 50 Points / Engineering Discount: 35 Points ]
To zoom around the ship. Beepbeep. For ship use, not to be taken planetside.

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] ⬡ Motorcycle: [ 100 Points / Engineering Discount: 75 Points ]
For planetside use only. Scifi motorcycle with navigating alien terrain, and, if you're Cloud Strife, holding your 8 million sword blades. More information TBA, when this section comes unlocked. [ ref pic to be linked ]

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] ⬡ Fighter Jet: [ 250 Points + IC Component / Engineering Discount: 200 Points ]
To be housed in the hanger bay, only piloted by those who have undergone training which will be done ICly. More information TBA, when this section comes unlocked. [ ref pic to be linked ]

NON-CANON ⬡ PETS;

[NOT YET AVAILABLE] Good for mental health, we hear. These will only be available during specific, rare events (which we will warn ahead of time for, so you don't blow your AC bank right before it comes up). Because we try to have our characters able to get cool things for cool IC abilities/work, there is a way to get a discount on these items for animal handling skills, meaning the characters could contribute their own work towards the acquisition/training of these pets, making less work for Ripley.

When choosing this option, please keep in mind that food is sometimes scarce on the ship, and the potential IC consequences of that.

⬡ Non-Canon, Event-Specific Pets: [ # Points + IC Component / Animal Handling Discount: # Points ]
Tied to plot events. More info to be added at a later date.

MISCELLANEOUS;

Here there be things that don't fit into neat categories.

⬡ THIRD CHARACTER SLOT; [ 40 Points + AC Proofs ]
If you're already playing both of the 2 character slots you have, you're allowed to purchase a third and final character slot, but in addition to the points used to purchase, we'd like to see three activity proofs provided from the most recent AC month (current or the one just prior). Should you end up dropping this third character, and have no plans to app another character, reply to the comment string in which you purchased the slot to request a refund.
